Overview

While starting this adventure in the valley of Lares you will be able to appreciate places that have stopped in time and still unknown by most of the people, surrounded by peaks and villages that maintain their legacy, reflecting their cultural ancestry highlighting the Quechua language and its ancestral homogeneity. A certain path is the thermal baths of Lares of the same name.

Itinerary

Day 1

Cusco - Calca - Lares

The adventure starts with the pick-up in your hotel, taking the road to the Sacred Valley to reach Lares: in Lares you will have time to appreciate the hot springs before lunch. After lunch you will start the trail towards the small village of Wacahuasi, where we will stay for the night.
Day 2

Wacahuasi - Lago Ipsaycoccha - Patacancha

We will continue with the day at a safe pace in search of the Ipsay cove. On the way, you will distinguish heterogeneous communities that will make you go back to the past, as well as their customs and textiles for daily use. Lunch close to the lagoon of Ipsaycocha, and with determination at the end of the afternoon you will arrive in Patacancha where you will stay for the night to regain strength.
Day 3

Patacancha - Willoq - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

We will walk to the lower part of the valley until arriving at the village of Willoq (Quechua) where you will familiarize with local people who wear multicolored traditional clothing. During the course you will be impressed by the Archeological remains of Qochapata and Pumamarca, where you can see the famous “Inca solanas ". We will continue the trip to Ollantaytambo where you will rest and have lunch. In the afternoon you will board the tourist train heading to Aguas Calientes. Here begins the longing for the man who seeks magical cultures as lost in the Quechuas time and bordered by lush tropical vegetation. Night in Aguas calientes.
Day 4

Machu Picchu – The Wise Mountain

Early on the morning, we will take one of the 1st buses towards the fortress of Machu picchu. You will have time to take photos and admire the sunrise from the subsequent part of the mountains. As soon as you reach the citadel, you will have a 2 to 3 hours guided visit on the most significant remains of the complex and will have free time to appreciate the spectacular views. Then you will go back to the village by bus for lunch in one of the numerous restaurant of the village. We will meet at the train station to go back to Ollantaytambo, where we will take the bus back to Cusco.
