The Peninsula of Llachón has become a stop for anyone visiting Lake Titicaca, described as a place where time has stopped, so that you can appreciate the customs and experiences of the communities. The ancient Pucaras built in Llachon many terraces, chullpas and temples, which remain a sacred place for people who practice the most important religious and cultural rituals of the Andean traditions, the Pachamama (offer to Mother Earth). It is the perfect place to observe the magnificent sunset in the Titicaca the highest navigable lake in the world. Here we will have the opportunity to dine accompanied by the people of the community. Llachon has also been working on local gastronomy and tourism options, well rooted in its ancestral customs.
ITINERARY
Puno - Llachon
- We will start our travel in boat from the small harbour of Puno, reaching the community of Llachon by the lake, visiting on the way the floating islands of Uros. We will be welcomed by the peoples of Llachon and installed in the houses, in rooms enabled to host tourists.
- Lunch in the community
- On the afternoon, we will share with them fishing techniques on the lake Titicaca in small rowing boats.
- Dinner and night in houses of the inhabitants.
Llachon – Taquile - Puno
- Traditional breakfast, then they will show us the antiques agricultural techniques, customs and textile. After this unforgettable experience, we will take the boat to go to the island of Taquile.
- Lunch.
- We will visit the island and its famous textils.
- Later on we will return by boat to Puno.
