Overview
Paru Paru, is the highest community of Pisaq District, Province of Calca, Department de Cusco: It is surrounded by 2 beautiful lagoons, “Kinsaqocha” and “Azulcocha” and colorful crop of 180 varieties of native potatoes. Paru Paru, has all the conditions to be a healthy village and to serve its visitors who seek to experience the customs of this high Andean population of Cusco.

Day 1
Itinerary
- Departure from Cusco to the community of Paru Paru, situated at1h30 from Cusco. On the way, you can appreciate the viewpoint of Taray, the archeological complex of Pisaq. We will then pass through picturesque communities with a variety of potato, mashua and other crops.
- When you reach this community you will be amazed by its great beauty and its lagoons Azulcocha, Pumacocha and Kimsacocha. In addition to a warm welcome from the inhabitants who still keep their typical clothing, we will appreciate a variety of flora and fauna of the area such as the Andean ganglands (Huallatas) among others.
- Lunch in the community with a precious view on the Quinsacocha lagoon. On the afternoon, we will have the option to participate on the agriculture activities of the native potatoes and knew more about the different varieties they keep.
Return to Cusco later on the afternoon.
