Overview
“Machupicchu” is the contemporary name given to a llacta “pueblo” built before the fifteenth century on a geological formation called “batolito de Vilcapampa” on the eastern slope at 2490m. It has the knowledge of an advanced engineering, with its structures worked with granite white and grey.

Day 1
Itinerary
- Pick up at the hotel.
- Train Ollantaytambo – Machupicchu.
- Night in Machupicchu Village.
- On the next day visit of the Lost City “Machupicchu”. Arriving at Machupicchu village, we will ascend by bus to one of the Seven Wonder of the world, where will observe the different techniques of construction and a unique achitecture in Peru, hidden during 400 years by the mountains and the tropical vegetation where 2 important areas stand out, the urban one confirmed by its squares, temples, royal mausoleums with an exquisite perfection and the agricultural area.
- The Wonder of the world “Machupicchu” is also the entrance gate to Waynapicchu “Young Mountain”.
- Lunch
- On the afternoon return in train to Ollantaytambo then in transport to your hotel in Cusco.
